The international conference "From the Tatra Euroregion to a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation"

One of the main events carried out under the networking project within the Republic of Poland – Slovak Republic Cross-border Co-operation Operational Programme 2007-2013 is an international conference "From the Tatra Euroregion to a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation", organized by the "Tatra" Euroregion Association together with its partners, which will be held in Nowy Targ on 14-15.09.2011.

The conference will become a forum for the exchange of opinions of the results obtained to date by exisitng  European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation, encountered problems and prospects of development of an efficient European EGTC as legal instrument, allowing local authorities to implement cross-border, interregional and transnational cooperation on new principles. The importance of these themes and the issues to be discussed is emphasised by the Conference having been granted the Patronage of the Polish Presidency in the Council of the European Union.
