Next sitting of the Polish-Slovak Commission on European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation

On 28th February 2012, the next sitting of the polish-slovak Committee on the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation was held in Kežmarok. Based on the adopted draft Convention, the works on the Statutes have been commenced. According to the the Regulation 1082/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the Statutes is the second document required to constitute a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation. The content and scope of the Statutes is determined by the Article 9 of the Regualtion. Members of the Committee examined preliminary draft of the Statutes and its specific issues, as well as the problems which might require further consultation with experts.
