The musical spectacle - promotional concert "The Tatras bring us together" on the Market Square in Nowy Targ
In the evening of 14 September 2011, a promotional concert The Tatras bring us together took place on the Market Square in Nowy Targ. It was organized as an accompanying event to the International Conference From Euroregion Tatry to a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation. The show was directed by Jerzy Zoń, the director of KTO Experimental Theatre from Krakow, renowned for having stage-managed many theatrical and outdoor performances, such as the outdoor spectacle for the 650th anniversary of the Town of Nowy Targ and the Legend of Saint Kinga in Kroscienko in 2002.
The concert cast included the actors of the KTO Theatre, the fire dancers of SIRRON Theatre in Krakow and Polish and Slovak folk groups:
- POPRADCANKA the Brass Band from Poprad
- GORCE, the Chorus of Teachers from Nowy Targ
- KAŁE BAŁA, the Romany Band from Czarna Góra
- WIERCHOWIANIE, the Folk Group from Bukowina Tatrzańska
- RZOZ, the Sung Poetry of Highland
- MAGURA, the Folk Band from Kezmarok
The performance broke the usual convention by the exceptional use of the space around the stage as well as the original adaptation of staging solutions. The setting of the show combined with the play of lights created attractive and compelling illusions which highlighted the beauty of the region - superb performance brought an unforgettable artistic impressions.
